Family Medicine Residency – Osteopathic Program Director

Excellent opportunity for a board-certified osteopathic family medicine physician to join The Toledo Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program as the Osteopathic Program Director

The program director of the osteopathic program must have demonstrated strong osteopathic manipulation skills and teaching abilities (OMM fellowship/similar experience desirable). The director will join other integrated program faculty in the oversight of allopathic and osteopathic inpatient and outpatient primary care, routine office procedures, precepting, didactic teaching and faculty mentoring. Obstetrical care is optional.

Additional opportunities include possible ODME role.

• Established in 1974, has developed a long tradition of producing high-quality family physicians
• Oldest continually-operating family medicine residency in the region employs a multidisciplinary approach to medical education that provides important training in all aspects of family medicine, including obstetrics, pediatrics, care of ambulatory and hospital patients, practice administration, pharmacy, patient education and community medicine
• 18 residency positions
• Dual accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
• Full accreditation by the AOA in April 2008 for 5 years
• Affiliation with Mountain State OPTI/West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine
• Affiliation with a dually-accredited primary care sports medicine fellowship program.
