Academic Family Medicine in University - Administered Residency

Consider joining the faculty of Southern Illinois University's dually accredited and unopposed family medicine residency program at Blessing
Hospital in Quincy, Illinois (www.quincyfp.org). This community based, university administered program will provide you a stimulating and well-varied work environment in which you will devote approximately 65% of your time to teaching and supervision and 35% of your time to patient care. Protected time for research can also be arranged. You will be welcomed by a progressive, innovative faculty who enjoy a supportive, collegial work environment.

Because the quality of the 18 residents you will instruct is high (we have a 99% board passage rate), you will be investing in physicians who
will go on to make a difference in the communities they serve. The Quincy Family Medicine Program has strong emphases in rural and emergency medicine. The sports medicine fellowship adds a valuable dimension to the instruction given. The program is based at Blessing Hospital, a 340-bed facility with two hospital campuses; both are within easy walking distance of the family practice center.
