Southern New Jersey Medical Director Family Medicine Residency Program
West Jersey -Memorial Family Residency Program is seeking a medical director for the Lumberton office. The program is fully accredited with eight residents in each post-graduate year, half of whom work at the Lumberton office. The program is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to all patients and their families. The program is part of Virtua Health, a multi-hospital healthcare organization that serves Southern New Jersey.
The medical director will be responsible for meeting the residency mission of charity care, maximizing profitability, and ensuring the smooth operation of the Lumberton office within the proscribed Virtua Medical Group guidelines. Other duties and responsibilities include providing quality patient care, coordination of on-site business and on-site clinical practice issues and nurse management.
You will participate in resident education, faculty development activities, and Virtua-wide or VMG committees meetings as assigned by the program director. The Medical Director will attend faculty meetings and participate in the decision making process of operations, performance, and development of the office and the residency program.
Candidates interested in the position should have 2-3 years post-graduate residency teaching experience and possess excellent communication skills. You should be flexible, comfortable with change, a team player, have leadership skills and be passionate about family medicine and teaching residents.
