FACULTY - ARIZONA

The University of Arizona FCM Family & Community Medicine

The Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Arizona is recruiting board-certified/eligible MD and DO applicants for full-time clinical faculty member positions.

Our mission is to promote the health of individuals, families and communities through excellent community-based teaching, research and service with an emphasis on medically underserved populations. We boast a large and diverse faculty experienced in teaching, clinical medicine and research, fellowships in sports medicine and integrative medicine, two modern family medicine centers with full EHR, multiple inpatient services, strong institutional support and opportunities to be involved in teaching and applied research.

Our rapid growth, including the inception of a second family medicine residency program in July 2010 and expansion of integrative and clinical preventive medicine services require the addition of faculty physicians to support patient care and teaching in our outpatient and hospital-based settings. Successful candidates receive a faculty appointment at The University of Arizona College of Medicine at a rank commensurate with experience.

Located in the beautiful southern Arizona city of Tucson, our community was recently voted as one of the healthiest places to live in the United States and offers excellent schools and a unique mix of metropolitan attractions and outdoor endeavors.

Candidates may apply at www.uacareertrack.com/applicants/Central?quickFind=193910 with a duplicate copy of current CV directed to: Tamsen Bassford, MD, Professor and Chair, c/o Lina Chavez, Department of Family and Community Medicine, 1450 N. Cherry Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85719, or to chavezl@u.arizona.edu.
