The University of Wyoming Family Medicine Residency Program at Casper (8-8-8) is seeking an outstanding family physician for Program Director (position #1402). Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Minimum qualifications include board certification in family medicine, five years professional experience, and prior family medicine residency faculty experience. Rural focus and vision is required. Clinical responsibility in both inpatient and outpatient settings is required. Casper, population 50,000, is located in the center of the state. Wyoming Medical Center, a major referral center for the entire state, serves as the main inpatient training site for the program, which is an unopposed residency. The program is dually accredited by the ACGME and the AOA, providing the full scope of family medicine training. It has innovative training tracks available for additional training in surgical obstetrics and emergency medicine, as well as enhanced training experiences in wilderness and global medicine. The program is affiliated with the Community Health Center of Central Wyoming and is a member of the WWAMI residency network. This well-established program is dedicated to educating family physicians for Wyoming and other rural areas. Administrative, communication, and management skills are required.
